Nexa is TutorNexus's AI study assistant, launching in Phase 3 of the platform rollout. It is built specifically for CAPS Mathematics across Grades 8-12. It is not a general-purpose chatbot; every response is scoped to the South African curriculum.
One of Nexa's most powerful capabilities is error detection. When a student shares a screenshot or photo of their written working, Nexa identifies the specific mistake, explains the likely root cause of the error, and walks through how to correct it step by step.
Nexa also links directly to the Resources section. After diagnosing a problem, it suggests the exact practice filters to apply (specific chapter and sub-topic) so students can drill that exact question type until it clicks.

All payments on TutorNexus are processed through a secure payment gateway. Parents deposit funds into a secure TutorNexus wallet, and all inter-platform transactions are virtual ledger transfers. No money changes hands until a session is confirmed.
When a session is booked, the fee is deducted from the parent's wallet and held securely. After the session, there is a 48-hour confirmation window. If no dispute is raised, funds are automatically released to the tutor. If a dispute is opened, TutorNexus admin reviews the evidence before any payment is made.
Tutors receive 82% of every session fee. The remaining 18% platform commission covers all infrastructure, matchmaking, and support. No hidden charges.
