By using TutorNexus, parents or legal guardians acknowledge, consent to, and accept the practices described in this policy.

We collect only the minimum personal information necessary to provide our educational services, which includes:
- Personal details such as names, age, and grade level.
- Educational information such as subjects, academic performance, preferences, and interactions within the app.
- Non-identifiable data such as general usage patterns and statistics for analytics and app improvement.

We do not collect special personal information such as financial data, biometric data, or health records. Location data is not collected unless required by law, in which case we will notify the parent or guardian.
Content Sharing
Minors are not permitted to share any personal or identifiable content through the app. All interactions take place in a secure and restricted educational environment.
2. Legal Basis and Parental Consent
Implied Consent
By registering a child on TutorNexus, the parent or legal guardian provides implied consent for the collection and processing of the child's personal information as described in this policy.
Withdrawal of Consent
Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Parents or guardians may delete the child's account or contact us to request deletion of personal data. All associated data will be permanently deleted unless legal obligations require retention.
3. Use and Disclosure of Information
Purpose of Processing
We use personal information solely for educational purposes, including:
- Tracking academic progress.
- Personalising learning experiences.
- Adapting content based on performance.
Third-Party Access
We do not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes. Some non-identifiable data may be processed by trusted service providers to improve app functionality. All third parties are required to adhere to POPIA-compliant practices.

We employ industry-standard encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. Access to personal information is limited to authorised personnel bound by confidentiality agreements.
Data Retention
Data is retained for the duration of the user's active subscription or account use. Once the account is deleted or becomes inactive, data will be permanently deleted after a short grace period unless otherwise required by law.
5. Parental Rights
In terms of POPIA, parents or legal guardians may:
- Request access to personal information collected about their child.
- Request correction or deletion of personal information.
- Object to the continued processing of personal information.
- Withdraw previously granted consent.

TutorNexus aligns with the South African CAPS curriculum. Educational content is regularly reviewed and updated to remain accurate and relevant to school learning objectives.
7. In-App Communication and Activity Tracking
Interaction Tracking
User interactions are logged to support learning outcomes and enhance functionality. This information is anonymised and stored securely.
Closed Platform Environment
No public messaging or data sharing occurs within TutorNexus. All interactions are confined to the educational features of the app.
